Happy 4th of July!!

The kids and hubby took off in different directions-though all eastward bound to watch the fireworks from the beach.
I chose to miss the big booms this year.
But I didn't miss this.
It took my breath away.

I saw that sky and had to get up close and personal at the river's edge. There was the smell of salt water in the air- one of my favorite scents. The only drawback was the fact that the bugs wanted bites of me. But I don't think I suffered too terribly... I mean, look at that sky!
